为满足同步辐射装置中X射线单色器的需求,在直线式磁控溅射设备上制备了W/Si和Ru/C双通道多层膜反射镜。制备的W/Si多层膜和Ru/C多层膜的周期厚度均为3 nm,平均界面宽度分别为0.30 nm和0.32 nm。在320 mm长度范围和20 mm宽度范围内,W/Si多层膜膜厚误差的均方根值分别为0.30%和0.19%,Ru/C多层膜膜厚误差的均方根值分别为0.39%和0.20%。对制备的样品进行了表面形貌测试和非镜面散射测试,对比了W/Si多层膜和Ru/C多层膜的表面和界面粗糙度大小。硬X射线反射率测试结果表明,W/Si多层膜和Ru/C多层膜在8.04 keV能量点处的一级布拉格峰测试反射率分别为63%和62%,角分辨率均为2.6%。基于以上研究,在尺寸为350 mm×60 mm的高精度Si平面镜表面镀制了W/Si和Ru/C双通道多层膜,并且其被成功应用于上海同步辐射光源线站中。

设计了一种基于荧光成像的X射线光束在线监测装置,用于上海光源硬X射线光束的实时在线监测。相较于现有位置监测器和气体电离室,该装置能实现2 kHz高速采集,具有实时监测光束位置、通量、尺寸以及重建入射光波前相对变化量的功能,且不会影响下游实验开展。该装置可用于光学器件和实验位置反馈,在超长和微纳聚焦光束线站将有很好的应用。在上海光源时间分辨超小角散射线站的USAXS和微聚焦SAXS实验站利用该装置开展在线监测实验,采集并分析了常用实验帧率下的光束稳定性数据,得到了该线站光束位置、通量、尺寸分布的时频域信号和入射波前的相对变化情况,验证了该装置的可行性。

Abstract
To clarify the contribution of oxygen vacancies to room-temperature ferromagnetism (RTFM) in cobalt doped TiO2 (Co-TiO2), and in order to obtain the high level of magnetization suitable for spintronic devices, in this work, Co-TiO2 nanoparticles are prepared via the sol–gel route, followed by vacuum annealing for different durations, and the influence of vacuum annealing duration on the structure and room-temperature magnetism of the compounds is examined. The results reveal that with an increase in annealing duration, the concentration of oxygen vacancies rises steadily, while the saturation magnetization (Ms) shows an initial gradual increase, followed by a sharp decline, and even disappearance. The maximum Ms is as high as 1.19 emu/g, which is promising with respect to the development of spintronic devices. Further analysis reveals that oxygen vacancies, modulated by annealing duration, play a critical role in tuning room-temperature magnetism. An appropriate concentration of oxygen vacancies is beneficial in terms of promoting RTFM in Co-TiO2. However, excessive oxygen vacancies will result in a negative impact on RTFM, due to antiferromagnetic superexchange interactions originating from nearest-neighbor Co2+ ions.

A mixed light field generated from a two-level atomic ensemble can be used for two-photon interference. In this mixed light field, correlated paired photons generated from a four-wave mixing process provide a signal of two-photon interference, while Rayleigh scattered photons of the pump laser provide a stable reference to calibrate the normalized second-order correlation function. We demonstrate two-photon interference using the Hong–Ou–Mandel and Hanbury Brown–Twiss interferometers. A direct quantitative comparison between theoretical predictions and experimental data is performed under perturbed experimental conditions, which reveal this kind of light source has potential application for quantum metrology.

光晶格钟需要高稳定度的超稳激光, 而超稳激光的频率稳定性受限于超稳腔的热噪声和温度涨落, 因此, 降低超稳腔的温度涨落对于超稳激光的频率噪声达到热噪声极限具有重要意义。分别从时域和频域上分析了达到热噪声极限对超稳腔温度稳定性的要求, 设计了超稳腔控温系统, 其包括一层被动隔热、两层主动控温的超稳腔真空系统和主动控温装置; 找到了超稳腔的零膨胀工作温度; 测量了真空隔热系统的温度传递时间常数(3.6 d); 监测了真空腔内主动控温层11 d的温度涨落(<1 mK)。通过实验测量和理论分析, 在频域和时域上分别计算得到了超稳腔的温度波动, 确定了千秒内的温度涨落引起的频率噪声均在热噪声极限以下。利用磁光阱产生的199Hg冷原子的钟频跃迁光谱测得超稳腔的长期温度漂移为4.2 kHz/d, 符合Hg原子光晶格钟的要求。

X射线小角散射显微层析成像(SAXS-CT)是一种无损的结构表征技术,用于研究非均匀物质纳米结构信息及其空间分布;在上海同步辐射光源(SSRF)设计并搭建了基于Kirkpatrick-Baez(KB)镜聚焦的SAXS-CT成像系统,并选取毛竹和注塑聚乳酸样品进行实验验证。结果表明:该SAXS-CT成像系统的聚焦光斑尺寸可以达到20 μm以下;对于毛竹样品,得到了其内部维管束和薄壁细胞的位置分布及散射差异,同时获取了内部纳米纤维的取向特点;对于注塑聚乳酸样品,发现其内部片晶结构具有分层分布特征,获取了片晶结构的分布图像以及长周期分布图像;实验结果验证了该SAXS-CT成像系统的可靠性及实用性。

We report on the observation of the highly forbidden S10P30 optical clock transition in laser-cooled Hg199 atoms. More than 95% depletion of cold Hg199 atoms is detected in the magneto-optical trap. Using the free-of-field detection method, the AC Stark shift from the cooling laser is removed from the in-field spectroscopy. At low-power clock laser pumping, the linewidth of the clock spectroscopy is approximately 450 kHz (full width at half-maximum), which corresponds to a Doppler broadening at the atom temperature of 60 μK. We determine the S10P30 transition frequency to be 1,128,575,290.819(14) MHz by referencing with a hydrogen maser and measuring with a fiber optical frequency comb. Moreover, a weak Doppler-free signal is observed.

We present a simple method to measure the spatial coherence of hard x-ray beams. Based on the convolution of Gaussian functions, we analyze the diffraction patterns of a grating irradiated by partially coherent hard x rays with a constrained beam diameter. The spatial coherence properties of an x-ray beam are obtained from the width of the diffraction peaks with high accuracy. The results of experiments conducted by combining a pinhole with a grating show a good agreement with our calculation using the Gaussian–Schell model.

We report the recent progress of our pulsed optically pumped (POP) vapor cell rubidium clock with dispersive detection. A new compact physics package is made. A rubidium cell with a high precision buffer gases mixing ratio is obtained, and the temperature controlling system is renovated to reduce fractional frequency sensitivity to temperature variation. The resolution of the servo control voltage is also optimized. With these improvements, a clock frequency stability of 3.53×10 13 at 1 s is obtained, and a fractional frequency stability of 4.91×10 15 is achieved at an average time of τ=2000 s.

We investigate the spin dynamics, starting from the initial band-insulating state, of fermionic high-spin atoms in optical superlattices. Through numerical simulations and analytical calculations, we determine the time evolution behavior of the system. When the spin-changing strength and tunneling strength are comparable, the spin dynamics feature a spin-changing oscillation with the amplitude modulated by the superexchange interaction. When the double-well potential is very shallow, the spin dynamics feature a simple harmonic oscillation with the oscillation frequencies related only to the spin-changing strength, which can be properly explained with the perturbation model.
